The aim of this web site is to share the works of Caglayan Yildiz, a composer whose spectrum of work covers contemporary classical, electronic music, jazz, world music, pop, music for theater, dance and media; a guitarist/bassist performing in the genres of electronic music, jazz, world music, funk, pop and rock.

[October 2011]

Çağlayan Yıldız, started to give in "Ensemble Workshop" ve "Modal Harmony" lessons in İstanbul Bilgi University Music Department.

[Ekim 2011]

Çağlayan Yıldız, started playing actively in Istanbul jazz scene. Trio Mrio, Sarp Maden Quartet, Çağlayan Yıldız "Akorsuz 4lü" are some of these projects.

[Haziran 2011]

Çağlayan Yıldız,started arranging and recording for singer&songwriter Ajnish Rai of India. The album will be released in India.

[Mayıs 2011]

Çağlayan Yıldız(b), Sarp Maden(g) ve Volkan Öktem(d) started recording the second album of Trio Mrio.

Çağlayan Yıldız, started writing articles in "Drum&Bass", the first and only magazine for drums and bass in Turkey. The articles are in Turkish, but here anyway. The website of the magazine is here.

[Nisan 2011]

Çağlayan Yıldız, arranged for the "Bacstage" musical by Cumhur Tandoğan, which was planned to be staged by Antalya State Opera and Ballet in May 2011.

[March 2011]

Caglayan Yildiz has started writing guitar lessons for the one and only Guitar Magazine of Turkey. The lessons are here , but for the time being only in Turkish. The web site of the Guitar Magazine is here.

[February- March 2011]

Caglayan Yildiz has started performing as a guitarist on West Side Story of Bernstein in Antalya State Opera and Ballet. Premier was on February 5th, 2011 and after 6 sold-out shows, the performances will continue next season, starting September 2011. Click for details.

[November 2010]

From November 2010 on, Caglayan Yildiz started working on remix & dance music under the name "Groove Guru's Klan" (GuGuK).

[May 19th, 2010]

Caglayan Yildiz's orchestrations for the band "123" have been premiered by Eskisehir Symphony Orchestra and "123" in a sold-out performance.

[September, 2009]

New CD "Medcezir- Ebb and Flow" is out in Netherlands. It is the studio recording of the international project Med Cezir.

Amsterdam based Axyz Ensemble collaborates with Turkish composers Selim Dogru, Gokce Altay, Oguz Buyukberber, Caglayan Yildiz and performers Erkan Ogur, Oguz Buyukberber, Fahrettin Yarkın, Murat Tokac, Kemal Dinc, Alper Kekec.
